Even before the time of modern man, humans began building their homes with eco-friendly materials. The simple caveman used well, caves. Native American Indians made use of tents made of simple material that was either animal skin or woven strands of fur. A traveler carrying a tent can make refuge by building a makeshift tent under the stars near a campfire. But those were the days back when advanced architecture graced human civilization.
For the passed thousand years up to the industrial age, all sorts materials have been used build homes. The human population boomed and so was the demand for these materials. The result was carnage on natural forests. Mountains were shaved clean of trees. Today, the growing concern for more environment friendly products and services has driven the architectural industrial to promote Eco-friendly homes.
We are seeing the application of eco-friendly homes on hotels. Primary reason is the recreational effect it has on its guests. The need to get out of that concrete jungle of the city just needs to be fulfilled with something clean and different.
